Mydriatics

Composition: Tropicamide 0.8% w/v, Phenylephrine HCl 2.5% w/v

Indications:

• For achieving best pre& post surgical mydriasis in ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity),
• Hypertensives, Diabetics

Description:

• Effective in pupil dilatation.
• Application of this mixture made the process of pupil dilatation easier and quicker, shortening the time spent in the outpatient eye service.
• During the process of attaining an adequate mydriasis it also showed a significant progression in the pupillary dilation.
• Inspite of lower drug concentrations in the mixture, the pupil response was more rapid and of greater magnitude.

Indications– Refraction especially in Children, Diagnostic procedures, Pre and post operatively, Iritis, Iridocyclitis, corneal ulcers.

• Used to dilate (widen) pupil when you have an inflammatory condition or in diagnostic or postsurgery situations in which this effect may be helpful.
• Residual cycloplegia and mydriasis may persist for 24 to 72 hours following instillation of medication.
